monday blues…

ben called, and he suddenly said,

“oh i’m booking out tomorrow”

i’m like, wtf?

apparently he has this specialist appointment at the jurong clinic which he totally failed to tell me about sooner… but oh well, i have a CLUBCOUTURE meeting at 3pm tomorrow to sign the ambassador contract or something…

so no ben tomorrow i guess… i’ll just wait till friday, it’s not that far away anyway right? but i need a really good huggggg. i’ve been feeling so sleepy all day, i slept quite early last night, i think? oh wait, i didn’t. *Shrugs* i did manage to finish bloggin about all the things i was supposed to blog about today…

oh well, been baby sitting yesterday and today… my brother-in-law’s dad has been hospitalised so the kids have been left to us… kids sure drain your energy… you have to play with them constantly, they’re just so hyper-active! and then putting them to bed isn’t exactly easy too… they don’t fall asleep like us, they need to be pat to sleep…

i’m waiting for ben to call back now, he’s gone for some rehearsal thing… grrrrrr

November’s Maddest Weekend!

the fun started on Friday…

it was raining cats and dogs… but ben and i spent the wet rainy afternoon exploring Orchard Central… check out my post on QUIZNOS SUB below! Orchard Central isn’t really interesting… half of it is like, spas and all that stuff…

i do remember spotting this pink, ruffly bag in a shop called CACTUS… it costs $85, ben won’t let me buy it… :(

anyway… later in the evening we went down to Dhoby Ghau Green to check out BORNFIRE 2009!

the heat is no joke i tell you… considering we weren’t exactly in the front row… but it was really cool! i’ve a new found respect for fire artists… i personally wouldn’t want to be within 5 metres of the scorching flames…

and then…SATURDAY, was our 16th monthsary!

i was feeling sooooo lazy all day! ben had soundcheck for Bornfire at 430, so i met him after to go to WAVEHOUSE at Sentosa to catch…

for the first time i took the tram, it was kinda fun! haha! but the walk in to Wavehouse from Beach Station wasn’t so fun… especially when your boyfriend’s normal walking speed is like double yours… really, no fun. it’s really tiring trying to keep up with his long legs! :(

anyway we had to leave quite soon to go to Bornfire cos ben had a set at 12am… and so we had to take the long walk back to beach station! again, no fun!

finally ben playing his set… he was on CDJs, hahaha so not used to it… he played from about 1145pm to 1am, and i was like restless throughout… it’s hard to keep still with good music, but when you’re some what alone, it’s odd to just dance! 1 or 8 company came late… but it was all fun anyways :)

i got through the whole weekend very very sober.

it’s monday, and there’s so much to do this week… and my left eye… ohmygoodness, it’s been swollen since yesterday morning… and it hurts… boo :(

the subs are awesome, with butcher cut meats, and soup for sides, they’re definitely a notch above Subway!

ps : be sure to try the chicken noodle soup!

top up $2.70 to get a soup and drink! it’s a really great deal! and the chicken soup does wonders especially on rainy days…

we tried the Zesty Grilled Beef Steak (something like that) and the Mesquite Chicken subs… yum yum yum!

the brocolli cheese soup is amazing too! it’s like drinking melted cheese, with the goodness of the greens!

late night rants…

its 221am, i’m hungry… i’m sleepy…

and i’m having…

milo and cream crackers. why do they call them cream crackers anyway? they’re not in the least bit creamy? pppffft.

i’m actually so tired i could just put my head down on my laptop and fall asleep… but i don’t know, i feel as if i have things to finish… things that i can actually do in the morning. ben keeps telling me to be good and sleep early. but the earliest i’ve been getting to bed is 3am? this really needs to change… it’s as if i’m out partying everynight and sleeping only at 3am. sigh.

am i gonna get old like that? >_<

how can i sleep when i have half packed orders? in fact i just worked on a new batch of earstuds. i did photos of new ones earlier but i haven’t even gotten down to uploading them… wednesday is going to be crazy. i have to wake up, finish packing whatever orders i need to pack, finalise ECLECTICISM’S stocklist, print, pack up… maybe do more photos if the lighting doesn’t suck… have lunch, and after lunch i have to get ready to zip zip zip around town before going down to pasir ris to see ben at 7pm…

speaking of which, he asked me…”so what are you going to wear tomorrow?” i’m like huh… i mean really i’ve been so busy, do i actually have time to think about what i’m going to wear? great, now i feel like i have to think. i can’t just throw on a pair of denim shorts and be lazy… so i asked him what he wants me to wear… not like i ever get an answer to that question… then it becomes a case of “up to you, impress me”. and then he said… no need to be like woahhh so elegant, just nice and simple.

great, why do i still feel the need to WOW?

okay i have stuff to do, why am i even blogging. good night ya’ll. i’ll go finish my milo and hopefully i find it in me to abandon whatever i’m doing and get some much needed shut eye… long day and weekend ahead….

i will survive.

no one can fully fathom what it’s like to have everything and nothing all at once, until you experience it yourself. and then what happens? for Daul, i guess it drove her to her wits end…

the fashion industry has indeed lost a gem… she was a chameleon, she was perfect as a model, but did anyone really care who she was as a human being?

it makes me wonder if it is worth it to work your ass off just to get to the top, to gain fame, success, wealth, only to realise you have become nothing but an empty shell in the process? she posted this video on her blog last month, with the following text…

didn’t anyone find it perturbing? didn’t anyone sense something wrong?

i’m reading her blog bit by bit now… and it’s just so painful to read. i can only imagine how she felt.

she sounded like she was on the verge of losing it, but somehow no one really cared, one comment even read :

honestly, i’m at a total loss for words. i can only hope that her death raises awareness, and how important it is to not lose yourself in life…

let’s all remember her this way…

Weekends…

i can’t believe it’s sunday morning already… why do weekends fly by so quickly? :(

friday night was pretty fun tho… i met ben at whitesands for dinner with some of the boys before going home to bum around abit… then went down to yishun to meet some others… that’s when it got interesting…

see, we were supposed to go to chong pang for sup tulang, but then they changed the venue to block 292… wherever that was. they said near industrial area, after the mosque. the first place i thought of was that coffee shop behind my place… but yea, when we got close to that coffeeshop we realised that was block 1001.

U-TURN! we were on foot by the way.

so i said okay, maybe it’s near star of the sea.. so we walked along the park, and ben decided to call them halfway to double confirm we were going the right way. they said we overshot. so again we back-tracked.

as we got closer to where we were supposed to go, i said… i will kill whoever said we overshot. i would have been here 15 mins ago… see, if we had walked further along the park and turned right (not like you guys reading know what i’m talking about) we would have gotten to where we were supposed to go in like less than 10 mins from our 2nd u-turn. but instead we turned around and walked another what… 20mins??? *SMACKS*

i really felt like… ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

oh well, anyway we got there in the end… only to sit for about 5 mins before going for beancurd. what a night…

i had tons of fun shopping on saturday! ben and i spent a total of like $300 at Cotton On in merely an hour! LOL! ben bought this jacket that costs $89? who would have known that Cotton On’s prices actually went that high??? well now you know!

honestly i don’t know if i dare wear them out, i bought it cos it was way too cute not to get for $15… ben said i can only wear them to sleep… but really, who said mickey is only for kids?? i told him they made these leggings for a reason. agreeeee? :D

what else did i get… 2 tank tops, 2 cardis, a checkered dress shirt, a ruffle top, a crochet vest,a grey scarf… mmmm, that should be all i think? shopping makes me happy… and the only time i’m allowed to shop is if ben is shopping too!

it’s 135am and my eyes are fast shutting down on me… ben is still out in the clubs… apparently Drop The Lime missed his flight so the set got delayed, so ben is at Zouk where Benny Benassi is playing. me? i think i’m gonna go wash up and hit the sack… let me leave you with one last photo muse…

finally! it’s official!
